Ignacio Alvarez

Founder

Raised in Georgia, with a perspective shaped by life and work across cultures, Ignacio is an artist and interior designer. He founded Local Color to bring original art, thoughtful design, and people together in an unexpected place.

The gallery is rooted in human creativity, original expression, and the enduring value of things made by hand. It celebrates the skill, imagination, and natural talent behind the objects that become part of everyday life. Serving as both a gallery and Ignacio’s working studio, the space presents rotating exhibitions alongside an ongoing collection of his work.

Beyond the art on the walls, Local Color offers hands-on workshops and intimate gatherings in a space designed to inspire connection and give people a new reason to experience Grantville.

It is worth the drive, and the backroads are half the fun.
